BSH - glued laminated timber
Glulam (glued laminated timber) is an industrially processed product and consists of at least three spruce lamellas glued together in parallel fibres.
Glulam is characterised, among other things, by enormous dimensional stability, low cracking, increased load-bearing capacity compared to conventional construction timber and high fire safety. Due to these positive properties, glulam has been part of ante's product portfolio for over 20 years. ante glulam is available in the dimensions 6 x 12 cm to 24 x 60 cm and in individual lengths of up to 18 metres.
The lamellas are kiln-dried to a wood moisture content of 10-12% and machine-sorted for strength before gluing. Irregularities in the natural wood product, such as rough knots or colour defects in the wood, are cut out and the resulting individual lamellas of different lengths are glued together again using a finger joint. After the glue has been applied to the flat side of each individual lamella, they are stacked on top of each other and then pressed together using a high-frequency press. After the glue has hardened, the individual components are planed and bevelled twice.
