Rottleberode

The site in Rottleberode has been part of the ante Group since 2007. The site now extends over 50 hectares. Around 370 industrial and commercial employees work here. We process around 1.2 million cubic metres of round timber per year in the high-performance sawmill with log yard. As at the site in Bromskirchen-Somplar, in Rottleberode we rely on 100% utilisation of the logs delivered to us. We produce sawn timber, timber products, and solid structural timber. The resulting sawn timber by-products, such as wood chips, are pressed into biofuels in our pellet plants on site and we use the tree bark to generate green electricity in our own biomass cogeneration plant on the premises. The site is located in the Harz Mountains with its lush forests and high proportion of coniferous wood. This makes it a perfect fit for our short-distance timber approach. This saves on transport routes and protects the climate. Adjacent to the company premises, the goods area of Rottleberode railway station has also belonged to the ante Group since 2022. This means that the site is also favourably located in terms of infrastructure. It can be reached via the nearby motorway 38 and wood deliveries and finished wood product deliveries are also handled by rail.
